Home Tone Piano Academy's ethos is to foster a sense of PLAY at the piano, introducing kids to the wonder of playing an instrument. We are focused on creativity while learning.

This program has been created by Mikaela McDonnell, who is a piano teacher with 12 years experience and a passion for music education. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Music from Maynooth University as well as her Associate Piano Teaching Diploma from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. 

She constantly strives to modernise her teaching approach to provide the best possible lessons for her students. Mikaela uses her ‘Holistic Teaching Method’ which means that creativity is at the forefront of what she does, while integrating technical musical skills through games and thought provoking questions. 

Mikaela brought her modern group lesson curriculum to Walton's New School of Music in the year 2023-2024 to great acclaim. 

These group piano classes are the perfect opportunity for your child to learn an intro to piano and music theory, giving them a strong foundation to continue with the piano or indeed to pick up any other instrument afterwards!
